Training young horses

With Sébastien Jaulin

With your young horse, you will take part in an initial day devoted to breaking-in techniques. On the second day you will attend the Seminar on Training Young Horses. Here, you will address the key points of the codes of breaking and learning, in both a theoretical and practical way. The horse will retain these codes all its life.

Pierre FleuryAfter a few near misses at the start of his riding career, Pierre discovered the language of horses, adopting an approach which essentially involves groundwork and liberty work. In 2009, he created a trio with two Highland ponies which he had trained and put on a show first at the Haras du Pin, then in Paris, Tarbes, Equita’Lyon, Cheval Passion and many more. In July 2011, Pierre participated in the TV show “La France a un Incroyable Talent”. Since then he has become a key figure on the French and European riding scene.

Grooming, horse-handling and safety

With Julie Vigeanel

During this course led by the la Cense team along with a professional groomer, you will learn the secrets of horsemen and-women to take care of horses. The course takes place over one day divided in three periods.

First, you will learn about the ethological knowledge necessary to interact with horses while respecting their nature.  The second highlight of the day is dedicated to a practical workshop: improve your horse-handling skills in simple situations to ensure your own safety as well as your horse’s. During the last period, a professional groomer will teach you how they take care of horses daily and what to do in case of minor incidents and emergencies.
